Memory & Index
Memory & Index shows what Webbee remembers about your code — the code index and the durable notes — and lets you read, correct, or erase any of it from chat.
Memory & Index is where you see — and control — what Webbee 🐝 remembers about your code. It ships with the platform as the memory-index extension, so there is nothing to install.
Two different things live behind it, and it is worth knowing which is which:
- The code index — files, languages, symbols, and the exact commit it was built at. Webbee builds this while you work with it in Webbee Code, so it can find things in your project without re-reading everything.
- Durable notes — the conventions, gotchas and "where things live" facts Webbee distils while coding with you. This is the cloud-side memory: notes follow you across machines and surfaces, so something learned in the terminal is known in the panel too.
Each tool is marked read (safe, returns information), write (changes state), or destructive (irreversible — Webbee always asks you to confirm first).
Seeing what Webbee remembers

Durable notes
Notes are the part you can teach directly. Ask Webbee to remember something about a repo and it stays remembered — on your laptop, in the panel, and in Telegram.

Erasing a repository

Type
delete_repo cannot be undone. The notes are gone for good; the code index only comes back if you open that repository again in the Webbee Code terminal agent.
Good to know
- Always on — Memory & Index is a system extension (app id
memory-index); there is nothing to install or enable. - The index is built by working, not by uploading — it appears once you use Webbee Code in a repository. Nothing is indexed behind your back on a repo you never opened.
- Notes are cloud-side, the index is per-repo — a note written on one machine is known on all of them; the index belongs to the repository it was built from.
- You can always ask in plain language — "what do you remember about this repo?", "forget that note about the old API", "erase everything you know about X". Webbee picks the right tool.
Where to next
File Reader
Give Webbee your files — PDFs, spreadsheets, photos, text — and ask about them in plain language, from the panel or straight from Telegram.
Developer Portal
Developer Portal extension lets you publish, validate, and manage your Webbee extensions on Imperal Cloud, set pricing, and track your earnings from chat.
