File Reader

Give Webbee your files — PDFs, spreadsheets, photos, text — and ask about them in plain language, from the panel or straight from Telegram.

File Reader is the built-in extension that lets Webbee 🐝 read your files. Hand it a document or a picture, then just ask — "what's in this contract?", "summarize page 3", "what's on this screenshot?". It works the same everywhere: one file library shared by every surface you use.

Getting files in

  • In the panel — click the paperclip in the chat box, paste a screenshot (Ctrl/Cmd+V), or drag files onto the composer. Files up to 25 MB each.
  • In Telegram — just attach a photo or a document to your message (albums work too). Files up to 20 MB each (Telegram's own bot limit). Your caption becomes the question.
  • In the File Reader panel — open the extension and drop files into its upload zone.

Attach and ask in one breath: "here's the invoice — when is it due?" Webbee reads the file first, then answers. Photos and screenshots are understood too — image contents are described and searchable, not just stored.

Each tool below is marked read (safe, returns information), write (changes state), or destructive (irreversible — Webbee always asks you to confirm first).

Good to know

  • Always on — File Reader ships as a system extension (app id file-reader); there's nothing to install.
  • One library, every surface — a file sent from Telegram is the same file Webbee sees in the panel, instantly.
  • Duplicates are free — re-sending the same file never creates a copy; Webbee recognizes it and reuses the original.
  • Files expire after about 15 days — File Reader is a working space, not an archive. Re-upload anytime you need a file back.
  • Your plan controls access — if file reading isn't included, Webbee tells you right in the chat, on any surface.
